Covid-19...You are safe!

Following the developments of the covid-19 pandemic for 2 years now, this year we adapt again to the specific needs of the times for the safety and hygiene in our accommodation. In order to ensure the hygiene and protection of all visitors and us, we have followed the instructions of the state (ΚΥΑ 4634, 17/3/22), but we have also taken additional steps that ensure to a great extent the prevention and avoidance of possible transmission.

GENERAL & CERTIFICATIONS

According to the tourist accommodation protocol for dealing with the covid-19 in Greece, a disinfection management plan and a suspected case management plan have been implemented in our accommodation and as such we have appointed specific persons for the supervision and execution of the plan. We implemented a plan of action in the crcumstance of a positive case for the specialized disinfection of the needed room and also have specified specialized everyday cleaning in general. We are in contact with the doctor of the island at all times but also we are in contact with a specialized doctor for infectious diseases for advice and necessary actions. We are certified by the Greek state with the HealthFirst certification of hygenic content from the Ministry of Tourism and we have participated in seminaris from the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce and the Administrative Region of South Aegean about the latest developments and applications of the law according to covid-19 management to small touristic accommodation.

RECEPTION

The special measures we have taken include avoiding greetings with handshakes during guests welcome, keeping distances of 1.5 meters and using a surgical mask when the reception area is closed due to air conditioning. In the reception there are indications on the floor for the observance of the distances that need to be kept and a special bench divider. In addition there will always be an antiseptic with 80% alcohol on the reception bench. The reception is disinfected everyday in general.
Upon your arrival, your ID or passport will be required as the state’s instructions are strictly followed for a detailed registration of visitors in a special book.
After departure, visitors are required to deliver the keys to the reception where a process of disinfection of the keys and keychains with special antibacterial liquids and/or UV sterilizer is followed.

ROOM CLEANING

Our cleaning staff has already attended a special cleaning seminar to deal with SARS-COV-2 and the management has taken all the necessary measures for cleaning the rooms. The staff is temperature-measured every day and is regularly tested with self or rapid/antigen test as often as it is specified by the government instructions subject to the progression of the pandemic. Gloves, a surgical or cloth mask and apron are used during the cleaning and a special sterilization process is followed before the arrival of the guests. This includes:

  • Prolonged airing of the room between stays
  • Door knobs, tap handles and light switches are santized with antebacterial liquid
  • Bed linen and towels are washed at 80 degrees Celsius with chlorinated washing liquid
  • Chlorinated cleaning on the floor and on all surfaces of the bathroom
  • Door keys are santized with UV sterilizer
  • Frequent cleaning of the air conditioning using special antebacterial solutions
  • Refrigerators are always cleaned before the customer arrives with antibacterial solution
  • Bed linen and towels will be changed every 3 days of use
  • Collected bed linen and towels are placed in special bags without coming into contact with the cleaning staff and they are washed directly
  • Daily cleaning of the room will only include emptying the room trash cans and quickly wiping the floor where necessary. If the visitor wants something additional to be cleaned, he must inform the reception. Cleaning times are 9:00am - 1:00pm
  • Shared areas (common toilet, shared shower) will be disinfected first before being reused. For this reason an appointment must be made for the time you will use the common shower so that the area is properly disinfected before you enter

In any case, according to the law, no kind of room cleaning is allowed whenever there is a confirmed or suspected case staying inside the room or even when the visitor staying is a confirmed case’s contact.

ROOM EQUIPMENT

  • Decorative objects have been removed from the rooms, such as fragrances, decorative pebbles and sofa pillows
  • Kitchen items such as hobs, kettle, toaster, pots and kettles have been removed and will be available upon request
  • The hair dryer has been removed and will be available upon request
  • Coffee is still available free of charge and it will be provided with the relevant preparation equipment upon request

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

According to state guidelines for dealing with covid-19, check-out must occur by 11:00am and check-in at 15:00pm during the noon arrivals of the ferry boat. In this manner it is ensured that the room is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized and adequate natural ventilation of the space is performed. We apologize for the inconvenience but we must comply with the instructions of the state as it is the only way to ensure your protection.

VISITORS

The visitor staying at a room of the accommodation is not allowed to accept visitors inside the room. According to FEK No.1223 of 17/3/22 with N.4364, any kind of visitations are forbidden within the room besides the persons staying and the cleaning personnel.
